Kenna Ross is a Highland-based piano player. For 10 years she has been a session musician for both local and international acts - playing popular festivals such as Belladrum, Celtic Connections, Montreal Jazz & Lollapalooza Paris.

 

After recording her own original debut album in 2023 with the award-winning Wee Studio, Kenna released her debut piano album 'In The Moment' with a album release performances at Eden Court Under Canvas and Belladrum festival.

 

Kenna started learning piano aged nine. Pretty soon she realised it was what she wanted to pursue as a career, and she did! After school, Kenna headed for university and graduated with a BA in Popular music. Throughout her university years she was a part of different bands which led to her pursuing a career as a session piano player.

 

Kenna's career as a freelance piano player includes playing solo for hotels and well as playing for wedding ceremonies across Scotland. In recent years a few artists/ bands Kenna has played with have been Gordon James and the Power, Lilura, and Yendry. This has taken her to play venues and festivals in the UK and abroad including - Belladrum, Xponorth, King Tuts, Celtic Connections, Lolapolooza Paris and Montreux Jazz Festival Switzerland. 

In 2022 Kenna was invited to play on Radio 2 with Zoe Ball as part of the alternative Piano room and went onto play again to the nation.

Kenna also offers piano lessons to all ages. Everyone starts somewhere, just like Kenna did when she was nine. She is based in the Inverness/Nairn area.
